Coconut Jelly

pernah makan jelly kelapa tak?? mesti pernah kan? nyaman je tekak kalau makan jelly kelapa nih. biasanya saya selalu makan yang dalam bentuk macam kat bawah ni


last sunday saya ada pergi mengajar kawan buat coklat kat shah alam. ajar dia kat rumah dia.
sambil-sambil duk ajar dia tu, dia semawa saya kelapa jelly.. saya ok aja. orang pelawa.. kita terima, rezeki jangan ditolak ye x? 

saya terus terbayang seperti gambar di atas. sekali kawan saya keluarkan dari peti ais, wahh... lain bentuknya.. sebiji buah kelapa rupanya.. 

selama ni selalu tengok kat pasaraya saya duk ingat kat dalam tu air kelapa. tak de le saya teringin nak beli kan.  packaging dia memang cantik. my friend cakap rm5 satu, ok lah kan. sebab saya makan sebiji pun dah rasa kenyang. tapi my friend kasi 2 biji... tersadai mak kat dinding... huhu

nahh, 1 sudu ngap masuk mulut...nom nom nom nom... telan ahhhhhhh... nyaman tekak sehhh

walaupun isi agak tebal sedikit, tapi still lembut dan manis.. berbaloi-baloi (●*∩_∩*●)

8 essentials for authentic red velvet cake

a couple month ago, i've been around blog-walking, blog-hoping.. then i've seen these red velvet cake. and you know what, my 1st impression.. wow, thats very RED. since my childhood, my dad not really allow us to eat a food that contains food coloring. not good for our body system especially our kidney.

due to this red velvet cake, i've read every comment that this cake is a devil's food nowadays. so i've set in my mind i have to try this cake at least once in a life.

until when my friend invite me for a potluck at her home, i've been bake one red velvet for them (eventhough that cake got new name "Kek Salah Acuan" because of my new cake mold make the cake stick at the base ^_^ ). seriously this cake worth trying even though the cost to make this cake very expensive (for me a kampung gal, for town gal maybe its not too much ^_^). after get a few comments from my friends, family, family friend.. i'm deciding to put this red velvet into the list of product for NisaShoppe biz.

now Alhamdulillah, few of friends had order the red velvet cuppies from me. Alhamdulillah, that is rezeki from Allah s.w.t.

Some bakers out there seem to think all they need is red batter and white frosting to make red velvet cake. Not so, says Nicole, who has eight rules for the truly authentic red velvet cake:

1. The cake must have some cocoa, but not too much because it is not a chocolate cake.

2. The cake must have red food coloring; beet juice does not add the right kind of red.

3. The cake must have cream cheese frosting.

4. There should be pecans. (This was news to me.)

5. You must use high-quality ingredients, including White Lily flour, a Southern specialty flour.

6. Precise measurements and meticulous attention to detail are key for this cake; therefore, it must be made in small, easy-to handle, family-sized batches. (Mass-produced batter just doesn't cut it. Sorry, large-scale bakeries.)

7. You must use a hand-held electric mixer, not a stand mixer: Larger machines can over-mix the batter, which sometimes prevents the cake from rising properly.
8. Red velvet cake batter needs vegetable oil, not butter or shortening. Oil yields a very moist cake.

I've looked around for a recipe and was thrilled to discover this one, which incorporates all eight essentials for the perfect red velvet cake.

Paula Deen’s Red Velvet Cupcakes from Food Network

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
1 cup buttermilk, room temperature
2 large eggs, room temperature
2 tablespoons red food coloring
1 teaspoon white distilled vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 (12-cup) muffin pans with cupcake papers. In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. In a large bowl gently beat together the oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vinegar, and vanilla with a handheld electric mixer. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the wet and mix until smooth and thoroughly combined.

Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake tins about 2/3 filled. Bake in oven for about 20 to 22 minutes, turning the pans once, half way through. Test the cupcakes with a toothpick for doneness. Remove from oven and cool completely before frosting.

For the Cream Cheese Frosting

1 pound cream cheese, softened
2 sticks butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
Chopped pecans and fresh raspberries or strawberries, for garnish
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla together until smooth. Add the sugar and on low speed, beat until incorporated. Increase the speed to high and mix until very light and fluffy.

Garnish with chopped pecans, fresh raspberry or strawberry, or sprinkles.

Menu untuk yang berdiet: Dong Fun Mee & Kari Sayur ala Thai

dah lama tak post entry resepi. hmmmmm, 2-3 hari ni asyik terbayang-bayang kari sayur yang saya makan masa majlis sambutan xmas kat office last year. sedap sangat. 

saya pun segera lah google the recipe kan. maklumlah, walaupun dah gatal benor nak kahwen.. tapi masak nye idak nak lulus lagi pung. hehehe resepi yang saya dapat ni dari laman web orang puteh. tapi saya tolong translate kan untuk korang ye. lagi satu saya dah modified (as usual) resepi ni ikut kesesuaian bahan yang ada & selera tekak saya yang tak tahan pedas ni. hehehe

saya cakap menu ni sesuai untuk yang berdiet sebab saya guna santan cair, tauhu kering, sayur-sayur. makan pula dengan dong fun atau pun mi sua. menu ni buat kita rasa cepat kenyang kerana kandungan kuah yang banyak. tapi ingat, makan semangkuk bersaiz sederhana sahaja. jangan bermangkuk-mangkuk. tak ada guna nya nak berdiet kalau dah makan rupa itu. ◠‿◠


jom kita tengok resepi kari sayur:

1 biji bawang besar *
2 ulas bawang merah *
4 ulas bawang putih *
2 cm halia *
2 cm lengkuas *
1 batang serai *


kisar bahan-bahan bertanda *


3 biji cili padi di hiris
1 sudu besar serbuk kari daging + 1 sudu kecil serbuk kari ikan
1 paket santan segera + 500ml air
sedikit air asam jawa
garam
1 sudu kicap
2 sudu minyak untuk menumis
1 mangkuk terung yang dipotong
1/2 mangkuk carot yang di potong
1 mangkuk tauhu kering / tauhu goreng
daun kari
daun limau purut

cara-cara:

1. panaskan minyak kemudian masukkan bahan yang telah dikisar. tumis hingga naik bau. kemudian masukkan serbuk kari, cili yang telah dihiris, daun kari & daun limau purut. tumis hingga naik bau dan rempah pecah minyak
2. masukkan air asam jawa. biarkan seketika, kemudian masukkan carrot. gaul rata dan biarkan sebentar.
3. masukkan santan dan terung. kacau sentiasa agar santan tidak berketul. bila dah mendidih boleh lah dimasukkan tauhu kering / tauhu goreng.
4. masukkan garam dan kicap serta bahan perasa yang anda suka. gaul rata... setelah sayur sudah masak boleh lah dihidangkan bersama mee kuning , bihun, mee dong foon.

Raya bersama sate arnab (∩_∩)

waaaa, dah nak chinese new year lah. tahun ni tahun arnab..
angpau pun dah dapat.. berapa?? mana boleh beritahu, rahsia.. heheh
limau mandarin dah dapat 3 butir
biskut kurma sedap 1 balang pun dapat gak
tengkiu terima kasih lah bosss
tahun depan kasik bonus pulak ye ∩_∩

kalau tahun lepas cuti sebanyak 11 hari dihabiskan dengan penuh bermakna.
tahun ni pula insyaAllah akan dihabiskan dengan lebih bermakna lagi, yang bakal diingati sehingga akhir hayat insyaAllah. mudah-mudahan Allah memudahkan segala yang telah dirancang.. ameen ∩_∩
tahun ni cuti 10 hari saja. kurang sehari dari tahun lepas..
tapi kan, cuti tahun ni rasa macam tak cuti sangat la,
sebab nya setiap hari ada event yang perlu dipenuhi.. insyaAllah


sabtu - baking red velvet cake, ke bangi ambil tudung mahal macam jin, potluckdi rumah puan azwa bersama sahabat handai kak dhila & nadh, siapkan tempahan coklat untuk aina
ahad - ehem ehem hem hem uhuk uhuk ahak ahak... bling bling bling
isnin - balik kampung, gebang2 dengan mak ayah sampai lebam
selasa - menjahit, makan tepung bungkus.., pergi bandor kemaman/kuantan
rabu - mengemas, hias-hias, menggubah-gubah, baking pandan cake, bawa mak pergi pasar minggu (wajib ni, moga menjadi kenangan sepanjang hayat)
khamis - insyaAllah tersenyum malu-malu simau (tak sabor dalam berdebor).. moga segalanya berjalan lancar.. mohon pada MU ya Rabbi...ameen
jumaat - balik puchong
sabtu - makan2 time at umah andak
ahad - kerja sekolah
isnin - submit kerja sekolah + jumpe supervisor
selasa - dah abih cuti, koje dah....

waaaa... nak mandi sungai macam tahun lepas T____T
